Kaydon celebrates 75th anniversary – Rodriguez congratulates!
This May bearing manufacturer Kaydon – inventor of the lightest and thinnest bearing in the world – celebrates its 75th anniversary. For many years now Rodriguez and Kaydon have been close partners supporting customers with innovative bearing technology made in the US.
The Kaydon Engineering Corporation was founded in May 1941 by A. Harold Frauenthal in Muskegon, Michigan. Today this first location is still an active Kaydon facility and over the years it has been extended and renewed. Additional production facilities have been built in the course of time. During the past 75 years Kaydon Bearings has built a tradition of solving the world’s most demanding bearing challenges, as seen with the invention of Kaydon REALI-SLIM® thin section bearing – still an industry standard for a variety of industries including aerospace, aviation, medical equipment, heavy equipment, industrial machinery, medical systems, radar, renewable energy, robotics and semiconductor manufacturing. In 2013 Kaydon has been acquired by the SKF Group, the global leader in bearing production.
