Other series of RTB-bearings
RTB bearings are also available with an integrated angle measurement system (RTB-AMS), in particular for the use in torque-driven rotary tables.
The angle measurement system consists of a circular precision scale (in the form of a measurement ring), which is mounted on the outer diameter of the axial disc. Depending on the required accuracy, one or two scanning heads are positioned on the bearing outer ring and aligned with the precision scale. They detect the rotation angle of the scale grid and thereby generate an output signal for the CNC controller of the machine tool. The output signals correspond to the commercial standard.
Thanks to the inductive measuring method, these bearings are robust, thermally stable and easy to mount. Furthermore, the system is constructed modularly, so that it meets all requirements regarding resolution and precision.
Another series from the range provided by Rodriguez are the RTB bearings of the RTB-ABS series with integrated absolute encoder, which enables an absolute position recording in real time with a resolution of up to 25 bit.
The solutions of this series are equipped with a scanning head with integrated electronics and they are available with an inside diameter of 200 to 580 mm. Drivers for the interfaces CLiQ, SSI, BiSS/C and Fanuc (EnDat 2.2, Mitsubishi under development) are available.
